What do I do with these AMEX points?

Image
How you use Amex points matters just as much as how you earn them. A little strategy can turn everyday spending into unforgettable trips. Why people love Amex points:  • Transfer to airline partners for outsized value  • Unlock business and first-class flights for fewer points  • Book international trips at a fraction of the cash price  • Stack transfer bonuses when they pop up 👉Click here for all the details Partner offer, terms apply.

Rakuten for the points!

Image
Guess what? If you shop online and aren’t using Rakuten, you’re probably leaving thousands of points on the table. Rakuten lets you earn rewards on purchases you’re already making — and the best part is you can earn American Express Membership Rewards or Bilt Rewards points no matter which credit card you use. Prefer cash instead? That’s an option too.  There’s also a solid bonus for new users who sign up through a referral link. A great example is today PetSmart is 20% back! The payout for this quarter is 2/15/26 — and I will be earning 60,000 points. Why I use it: — Turns everyday shopping into transferable points — Stacks on top of your credit card rewards — One of the easiest ways to earn points — I’ve earned more in a quarter than some full sign-up bonuses Here is a referral link if you’re a new user and would like to earn $50.00/5000 points.

New Hilton program

Did you know that if you have Hilton Gold or Diamond status, you can set a new benefit called MyWay, and it could unlock several perks? I just checked my reservation in Orlando in May, and I am enrolled! We are talking: — Choose your own perk — Options vary by hotel brand — Gold members get one benefit, and Diamond members often get two — You must select your option prior to check-in Don’t forget, some credit cards will give you automatic status with hotels   Partner offer, terms apply. This card pays for itself

Image
What’s  your favorite credit card? This one is mine—by far. Just this week, I used: • $75 Lululemon credit • $50 Saks credit • My airline incidental credit • A Resy steakhouse dinner for our wedding anniversary By splitting the bill across two cards, we knocked  $200 off  the total. When you actually use the perks, this card easily justifies the annual fee. Five Free Nights? What?

Image
Guess what? Hyatt has brought back its most popular offer—and you can earn up to five free nights. Hyatt rewards are highly valuable since they let you stay at upscale Category 4 properties for much less than you’d think. Ongoing perks I didn’t even know about: • 5 elite night credits every year just for having the card • 2 additional elite night credits for every $5,000 you spend • A Category 1–4 free night certificate each year when you renew This will probably be my next card because I enjoy the Hyatt properties. Where would you stay? Click here for detailed information!  Award Wallet may receive a commission from JMPC.

Are points and miles actually valuable?

Image
Can miles and points be worth more than one cent per point? The answer is no if you’re using those points to pay your credit card bill. However, if you look into award travel, they can be worth up to eight cents per point—or more!
